Suhaila Loves Abah And Mak

Every single person in this world have parents. Without them, life is nothing. The same goes to me. Last week, I went back to my home. I felt so sad because my mak is not feeling well. I hope she now is in good condition. My mak is a patience and strong person. Although she had many things to do everyday such as cooking, take care of my nieces and others, she will done all the work perfectly without complaining. My abah is a strict person. Although he is a strict person, he is also a good listener. He always ask me about my studies, my life at campus and this shows that he is a caring father. Everyday, mak and abah will take turn to ring me up to say hello and they will motivate me to study hard, be confident and strive for success.
Mak, abah, I just want to say that, I love you so much.
I will do anything for you.
I miss you so much.

My 62 years old mom...I hope you will be fine..Please take your medicine..

Suhaila Golden Words

"Beauty is only skin deep"

Meaning : A person's character is more important than their appearance.

So in my view, mere pleasant looking people are the most deceptive. Some people have good looks and acting like angels but actually their are looking to take advantages from other people. I've known some of these kind of people where we put so much trust in them but indeed had been taken advantages by them. Values, principles and humane nature is a more reliable trait.

Suhaila And Alia

I have a friend.
I have a nice friend.
I have a good and nice friend.
I have a good, nice and sweet friend.
Her name is Alia.
Alia, a sweet person with a sweet name and a sweet smile.
She is brave, intelligent and quite naughty at times.
She also will be at my side when I need someone to talk to.
She will cheer me up when I was sad.
She will accompany me eating at the cafe.
She will defend me if I'm in danger.
Alia, I know you are too preoccupied in having time to read this,
but I just want to tell you that
I love you so much Alia.
Thank you for being my friend.

Suhaila Karaoke Box

Recently I've listen to one song by a boy group named O-Town. The song is called All Or Nothing which is quite interesting in its lyric. The melancholic melodies of the song really brights me up, and guys, you need to be good and sincere in keeping your relationship with your loved one. Anyway I hope you too will listen and like this song.

"All Or Nothing"

I know when he's been on your mind
That distant look is in your eyes
I thought with time you'd realize it's over, over
It's not the way I choose to live
And something somewhere's gotta give
As sharing in this relationship gets older, older

You know I'd fight for you but how could I fight someone who isn't even there
I've had the rest of you now I want the best of you I don't care if that's not fair

Cuz I want it all
Or nothing at all
There's nowhere left to fall
When you reach the bottom it's now or never
Is it all
Or are we just friends
Is this how it ends
With a simple telephone call
You leave me here with nothing at all

There are time it seems to me
I'm sharing you with memories
I feel it in my heart but I don't show it , show it
Then there's times you look at me
As though I'm all that you could see
Those times I don't believe it's right I know it , know it

Don't make me promises baby you never did know how to keep them well
I had the rest of you now I want the best of you it's time to show and tell

Cuz I want it all
Or nothing at all
There's nowhere left to fall
When you reach the bottom it's now or never
Is it all
Or are we just friends
Is this how it ends
With a simple telephone call
You leave me here with nothing at all

Cuz you and I
Could lose it all if you've got no more room
No more inside for me in your life

Cuz I want it all
Or Nothing at all
There's nowhere left to fall
It's now or never

Is it all
Or Nothing at all
When you reach the bottom it's now or never
Is it all
Or are we just friends
Is this how it ends
With a simple telephone call
You leave me here with nothing at all
There's nowhere left to fall

Suhaila Loves Movies

A few days ago we have a chance to watch this 2008 action thriller movie called Eagle Eye. It is directed by D.J Caruso and starring Shia LaBeouf (from the Transformers fame) and Michelle Monaghan. It revolves about a young man and a single mother who are brought together and coerced by an anonymous caller into carrying out a plan by a possible terrorist organisation.

The movie is quite interesting as it is full of running and chasing besides the futuristic technology of supercomputer. I never though there was a thing called supercomputer and also never though of a machine that have the ability to control all electronic devices such as handphones, traffic lights and much more. The main actor is also have good looks and quite cute but I think he needs some shaving. Anyway I suggest this movie for you to enjoy with family and friends for some nice entertainment.

Suhaila Likes Sports

Even though i'm just a girl, i also like to play sports which is a good way besides jogging and workouts to attain better and healthy life.
So after going to the wedding reception of my beloved and respected lecturer which i like very much, me and my friends decided to have a session of bowling at the Bandar Kuantan.
It had been such a long time since i last played bowling in my hometown with my hometown friends. And it also nice to spend some "girl-only" time as we have so much fun the whole day, besides relaxing my mind after a month of hectic schedule.

managed to get 7 strikes in a row!

Suhaila Loves Food

Each time when I go to the shopping complex with my family, I will be so happy 'cause I can shopping for some of my favourite food. But actually what I really like is shopping, not the food. It's just the thrill of choosing the best food/clothes/shoes/item with the best reasonable price that makes shopping is the best exercise/body workout I can have, although I don't have much money as I hope for...

japanese sushi anyone?

Suhaila Loves Sunshine

This semester we have lots of time under the sunshine whether in the morning or afternoon or even in the evening to do surveying.
Did you know that according to a latest study, not getting enough direct sunlight increases our chances of cancer at least 70%?
Why?
Because our bodies neednatural sunlight to synthesize adequate amounts of vitamin D in order to keep our bones strong and healthy, as well as support our immune system.
So from my opinion, that is why we need to conduct surveying under the scorchering sunshine, to get more than enough vitamin D.
And it is much 'better' here as we can also have additional heat causes by the inadequate of greeneries and trees around our beloved campus.

anyone need a new ruler?

I hope one day our campus will have lots of trees around like this.
But when? Only time will tell.

imagine this is the road to our beloved faculty

Brian Hyland - Sealed With A Kiss

Though we've got to say good-bye
For the summer
Darling, I promise you this
I'll send you all my love
Everyday in a letter
Sealed with a kiss

CHORUS:
Yes it's gonna be cold, lonely summer
But I'll fill the emptiness
I'll send you all my dreams
Everyday in a letter
Sealed with a kiss

I'll see you in the sunlight
I'll hear your voice everywhere
I'll run to tenderly hold you
But, Darlin' you won't be there

I don't wanna say good-bye
For the summer
Knowing the love we'll miss
Let us make a pledge
To meet in September
And seal it with a kiss

(instrumental)

(CHORUS)
Sealed with a kiss
Sealed with a kiss
Sealed with a kiss

one day i hope i can get that special letter that sealed with a kiss...

Suhaila Loves Surveying

Surveying is one of the best subject that i've learn here in UMP. By learning this subject, I'll be able to do survey field works such as travese, levelling, tacheometry, highway construction and setting out for construction.
Now I understand why there are so much emphasis on surveying engineering by engineers at construction sites and such.

anyone interested to do surveying with me?

Suhaila Is A Math Lecturer

Actually, my true ambition since I'm 10 years old is to be a teacher.

Why?

Because I think this job is fun and I can wear any beautiful dress when working, and then each day students will guess among themselves, "Hey, can you guess what Miss Suhaila will wear today?".

And this is a 10 year old girl kind of thinking at that time.

Hahaha! Funny isn't? Wanted to being a teacher just because of the attention of students towards my dressing.

But as I grown up, my way of thinking is more matured. Until now, I still want to be a teacher. Not at school, but at university or college because in my opinion, I think being a teacher or lecturer will have a better way of life compared to being a engineer or doctor. For me, higher salary will not guarantee happiness in life.

Money is not everything.

Suhaila The Shopaholic

I love shopping.
I love window shopping.
I love to help people shopping.
I love the atmosphere of shopping.
I love the adrenaline rush of shopping when SOGO, JUSCO, NOSE, VINCCI, BODY SHOP, METROJAYA, PARKSON and such had its sales and discounts.

what actually i need here is shampoo...

...but end up with this nice handbag!

Suhaila Hate Pills

Sometimes I feel uncomfortable, sometimes I fell sick.
Then people would say to me, "Go to clinic and see doctor lah!".
Please lah, do we need to meet the doctors when each and every time we fell sick?
Actually it's your own antibody's ability to heal yourself is the true medicine, not pills.
Pills will make yourself depend towards clinics and pharmacy to provide pills.
With the price of medicine in the market increase, it makes me harder and harder to treat pills as my health saviour.

lets count how much pills do i need to take

but as always, keep smiling dear!

Suhaila Loves Roses

Roses.
I love roses.
Roses bring much meaning to a girl like me.
Whether it's pink, red, white, lavender or any colour, I love all of it.
I hope everyone loves roses too.

Suhaila Karaoke Box

Actually I've already heard this song by the sexy Mariah Carey before, long time ago, but only this while I managed to listen carefully and understand the lyrics of this beautiful song which is about how a person should be independent, confident in own-self and brave to face anything that come in his/her way.

Mariah Carey - Through The Rain

When you get caught in the rain with no where to run
When you're distraught and in pain without anyone
When you keep crying out to be saved
But nobody comes and you feel so far away
That you just can't find your way home
You can get there alone
It's okay, what you say is
I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again on my own
And I know that I'm strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day and I make it through the rain
And if you keep falling down don't you dare give in
You will arise safe and sound, so keep pressing on steadfastly
And you'll find what you need to prevail
What you say is

I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again on my own
And I know that I'm strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day and I make it through the rain

And when the wind blows, as shadows grow close don't be afraid
There's nothing you can't face
And should they tell you you'll never pull through
Don't hesitate, stand tall and say

I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again on my own
And I know that I'm strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day and I make it through the rain

I can make it through the rain
And I live once again
And I live one more day
And I can make it through the rain
(Yes you can)
You will make it through the rain

I hope I can make it though any rain or storm here in UMP.

Suhaila Secret Recipe

Cooking is one of my hobby. Just name it. Assam laksa, nasi lemak, rendang ayam, kuih bangkit, sukun goreng, curry mee, masak lemak cili api (still learning!), anything that goes well with my appetite. Baking cakes and cookies is also included especially chocolate moist cake, my all-time favourite. The mixing of butter and sugar and beating in the mixing bowl is a joy to behold. Then the process of baking using my mom's antique oven, is very much test my patience. But not this!

i think i need a pair of gloves

Suhaila Twin Sister

I never imagine if someone told me that i have a twins; in terms of look-a-like, not biologically connected. But one day in my first semester here, I met her in front of my own eyes. Almost have the same bright eyes, same short nose, same curvy chin(well...almost!) and the list goes on. I'm quite surprised to met her and unbelievably too, we have the same month of birth. Anyway I hope she's doing well right now because we only met in coincidence although we're in the same university.

Well, what is your opinion? Are you agree with me?

Suhaila Likes To Do Lab Reports

Lab reports - each week we had to submit our lab report. Sometimes easy to complete, sometimes not. Why? Maybe because the hectic schedule that we have every day, day and night, either having SO MUCH ASSIGNMENTS to be submitted as early as possible or having to attend and hear so much (un)useful speech by those (un)familiar faces of UMP's officers.

hot and spicy

Owh! I miss my own jacket/coat/whatever...

Suhaila's Kitchen

Last Chinese New Year holiday is the first time I cooked nasi lemak with the help of my mom. It was eaten with sambal ikan bilis, rendang ayam, hard boiled eggs and cucumber. Not bad for a first attempt but not good enough as compared to those sold at the stalls. I am stuffed. I have not felt so full for a long time though.

Nasi Lemak

Ingredients:
2 cups rice

1 cup santan
1 1/2 cup water

3 slices ginger, finely shredded
3 pandan leaves, knotted
1 tsp salt

Wash the rice several times until the water is clear. Drain. Put the rice into an automatic rice cooker together with santan, water, ginger, pandan leaves and salt, and cook. When rice is cooked, fluff it with a ladle or big spoon or 'senduk'. Keep warm in the cooker until ready to serve.

Sambal Ikan Bilis

Ingredients:
80g ikan bilis, washed
3 tbsp cooking oil

12 dried red chillies, seeds removed and soaked in water
10 shallots
5 cloves garlic
2 stalks lemon grass, finely sliced

3 tbsp cooking oil

30g tamarind pulp
5 tbsp water

1 tsp sugar

2 kaffir lime leaves, finely sliced

Heat oil and fry the ikan bilis until fragrant, drain and set aside. Soak tamarind pulp in water for half an hour. Grind dried red chillies, shallots, garlic and lemon grass into a paste. Heat oil and fry paste together with sugar, kaffir lime leaves and 2 tablespoons of tamarind juice until fragrant. Add ikan bilis and stir fry for another 2 minutes. Remove and serve.

Look deliciously delicious right? So if you tend to eat nasi lemak, try to cook it yourself and you will be wanting for more.

Suhaila Miss You

Kids - they are special. Special in their own ways. Some is naughty, very-very naughty, that at times makes you goes absolutely bonkers. But still, they have this kind of unique ways of charming me to cool down and thus forgetting all the nuisance they had done. Well, it's been a while since I met my cute nieces.

Suhaila Golden Words

"Procrastination is the thief of time"
It means delaying an action for too long is a waste of time.

But in my humble opinion, sometimes we do need to procrastinate in our life for the benefit of all parties especially myself. Not always, i repeat, not always but sometimes.

For instance, when you're gone for vacation at some place, and you need to check-out from the hotel at 12 noon. But you already packing all your stuff at 10am. So to make sure that you reap the maximum out of your hard-earned money, you procrastinate by lazying around your hotel room until you check-out at 12pm even though you have nothing to do.

Or maybe you (unwillingly) want to go to listen to VC speech at the main hall but the cloud out there is already dark. You maybe risking your new Nose high heels or Vincci pink sandal or even Gucci handbag if the rain is suddenly pouring down heavily. So to make sure that you protect the investment(s) you made using your hard-earned money, you procrastinate by waiting and waiting and waiting at your room for the rain to go away until the sky is clear and the sun is shining brightly. But by the time the rain stops, the event at the main hall already finished. And that's good news for me.

What do you think of procrastination? Gimme your thoughts.
